In January of this year, Disney Parks released the beautiful purple potion ears that can be found here! A stunning shade of purple with a purple iridescent bow and they are actually very comfortable. I'm a sucker for pretty much any color of the rainbow so these ears were a must! In this blog post, I'll show you 3 ways I casually styled these ears, especially for the cooler weather Southern California has been experiencing.
Let's first start off with an obvious way I like to style my ears: a spirit jersey! This specific Disneyland one can be found here and pairs perfectly with the ears! Spirit jerseys are the perfect way to be comfortable and stay a little warm when there's a bit of a breeze outside. I paired my purple jersey with the La Voce necklace from Make It Minnie found here! The purple reminds me of Ariel so much so the necklace seemed fitting. Styled with a pair of Levi jeans and I'm set for a comfortable park day!
For a brighter twist to style these ears, I decided to wear this yellow Disneyland tee with rainbow lettering. Unfortunately, I haven't seen this shirt online but can be found inside World of Disney at Downtown Disney. I'm also wearing a tee clip from I'm a Little Something to give it more of a fitted look! Paired with some American Eagle jeans and my Vans (unfortunately it seems they are sold out everywhere with no signs of them coming back), it's a sure way of brightening up any gloomy day!
Lastly, an easy way to throw on one sweater when it gets colder and make it a whole new outfit! This sweater I got from Forever 21. I absolutely loved the stripes and color scheme of this top. It gives me all the 90s vibes. Seems like it's sold out online but you might be able to find in stores! Some more Disney touches added to this outfit was my Mickey Crislu necklace and a Mickey key necklace I bought about 7 years ago at WDW.
Overall, these purple potion ears are a great way to add some color to any park day outfit! I'll be styling them again later on for more springtime looks so be on the lookout for more blog posts like these!
I would like to start off my series of showcasing my collection of cozies with Sweet Cozy Cafe. I came across Claudia's shop through @magicandwishes and immediately placed an order for a Bambi and a Lady inspired cozy. Ever since I received those two, I've been hooked! She is always able to bring magic to her creations in a creative and beautiful way. If you haven't checked out her shop, you should also know that she creates buttons and stickers. Here's a link to her shop and you can use code JEN10 on anything available!
Some of my favorites in this photo are the Club 33 inspired one as well as the Lady and the Tramp one. How cute that they're sharing a piece of spaghetti? I cannot handle the cuteness of Wall-E and Eve as well! Don't get me started on the Winnie the Pooh inspired ones. Way too cute to handle!
Mousevado. Enough said.
Bao and the buffalo plaid mug became a quick favorite!
In this photo, the state ones are near and dear to my heart. I was born in California but lived in Florida for awhile so I consider both states home. And the fact they are rose gold helps! I'm obsessed with her mug cozy collection and the Minnie Mouse polka dot one was perfect to Rock the Dots!
The Joy inspired cozy warms my heart but can we talk about Pumpkin Pooh? So creative and perfect for my favorite season of them all: FALL!
Disgust is my favorite from Inside Out so when I saw my spirit animal, I had to snag her! And can we also talk about Ufufy Daisy?! She is so darling!
So many favorites in this picture here! I love them all but the You're My Hero one is possibly my most favorite. It was a wonderful collaboration between Sweet Cozy Cafe and my dear friend Makings Of a Dreamer. Vanellope and Wreck It Ralph hold a special place in my heart and so does this cozy!
The heart mug cozy you see here is a special monthly mystery cozy that Claudia is doing and I'm hooked! I can't wait to see what this month's is and the next couple of months to follow.
I think you can guess which cozy here is one of my favorites. Here's a hint: COFFEE.
I know to many it seems like they all look the same with the red yarn but it just really showcases how creative and special each unique cozy is.
As you can see, I have a lot of love for Sweet Cozy Cafe and I hope you'll add to your collection too! Cozies are a special way to brighten up any cup of coffee. It also helps that it keeps your hands dry and warm...or cool if you love hot coffee!
Thank you for reading and I can't wait to share the rest of my collection!

It's that time of year again where we struggle with trying to figure out what we should gift our significant other but have no fear, I'm about to make gifting easy for you this holiday season! I always struggle with what to give to David because I feel he deserves the world and more but one thing I know for sure is his love for watches. I wanted something unique from his normal metal watches and that's when I discovered Jord who are well known for their unique men's watches.
David has never owned any wooden watches before so you can imagine his delighted surprise when he saw it in person. The packaging is absolutely stunning and comes in this beautiful wooden box that looks beautiful under the Christmas tree.
And you want to know the best part? You can even add your own engraving to it with an extra $35! I had it engraved with words we have always told each other which added a more personalized touch to this already beautiful chronograph watch.
Jord has so many cool watches to choose from but David fell in love with their 3-dial face Conway men's wooden watch that you can find here. This exact one is made of 100% Natural Kosso wood and has a midnight navy face. It has sapphire crystal glass and luminescent hands.
David has a pretty active career so the last thing he wants is a heavy metal watch on his wrist. I was very surprised on how lightweight this watch is and David has even said he forgets it's on his wrist from time to time. Talk about comfort!
Another issue David usually comes across is a watch not fitting him right away and having to take it to a jeweler to get it resized. Not with Jord! For an extra $10, Jord offers pre-shipment wrist sizing! How awesome is that? No need to be in the holiday crowds!
One of the things I love about these wooden watches is how they style. Don't get me wrong, I know how efficient it is to have a smart watch but I miss seeing unique watches on wrists. I think this perfectly fits in with how David likes to dress up and gives him more of a timeless look.
If you haven't finished your Christmas shopping just yet, look no further! Jord offers a wonderful variety of wooden watches for men here and for women here. Love to save a little extra this time of year? Let me be a little Christmas elf and help you save 25%! This deal will end on December 19, 2017 so don't delay any longer! Happy shopping!
There are no words to how much I love our wedding video and I wish I could post the entire day. However here is our wedding highlight and I hope you can at least get a feel for our wedding! Let me know in my Instagram post what you think of it! Watch it here.
David and I met 7 years ago on a gloomy and rainy night...just kidding. It was a beautiful fall night and being the social butterfly that I use to be, I was out on a Thursday night. My sorority had just had a bowling night mixer and word on the street, another fraternity was having a small hangout at one of the houses some of them rented.
Some of my sisters and I decided to stop by and say hi. And that's where I met David. Except I wouldn't remember his name for weeks because I could barely hear a word over the music. All I remember was this smile that radiated that night. And the fact he was wearing an SF Giants World Series hat (and matching t-shirt). You see, this was the year they had just won their first World Series (2010) being in San Francisco so I clearly remember high fiving him for it.
And that's how we kind of met. Later, I would see his picture on Facebook pop up in the "People You May Know" section but that's a story for a later day.
Our first engagement photo session were taken with Jaclyn Lanae Photography. My vision for this was very much a kind of rustic yet fairytale feel to it and these are probably some of my most favorite pictures of us ever (at least ones where we aren't at a Disney park).
We knew we wanted our pictures to be out in trees and nature so Jaclyn suggested this beautiful location called Roy's Redwoods Preserve. This little open field was stunning to see in photos. It was worth having a spider crawl on me (I HATE SPIDERS).
David and I decided to bring all of our props that we found at Michael's. One of our favorites was this picture frame. Clearly David thinks he's Flynn Ryder.
These pictures were what we used for our Save the Date magnets so we figured we needed a prop for it. We chose this date as our wedding date because it was as close to the date we met that we could do without it landing on a birthday or an awkward day of the week. I always wanted a fall wedding and wanted it on an even year therefore 11/18/16 was the day we married.
Jaclyn was able to capture us during the magic hour and the lighting was such perfection on this day!
These pictures in between the redwoods are probably my most favorite of us. They are just absolutely stunning.
This picture makes me tear up everytime I stare at it. I feel so absolutely blessed to have David as my soulmate, as my partner in crime and the one I am so lucky enough to call husband.
We ended up hiking (yes hiking in those heel boots) up this hill for this AMAZING and STUNNING view. The temperature had dropped immensely by this point but how could we let it bug us when we were surrounded by this beautiful nature?
For this photo session, I did get my makeup done at Urban Decay and they did such an amazing job. I could have done my own but I really wanted these to be perfect. I didn't trust myself with the eyeliner because I figured I would have messed it up somehow.
My entire outfit was from Ross. I didn't want to spend too much money on a brand new outfit and found the dress for under $20 and the boots were $25. I still wear this dress from time to time and my boots always make a comeback for fall.
David made the suggestion to put a little Mickey Mouse on this prop and I loved it. Always adding little Disney touches to our lives.
David was able to snag the Walt Disney World Just Engaged buttons (even though we got engaged at Disneyland) before they were discontinued of these. Disneyland had already gotten rid of theirs but thankfully we worked at Walt Disney World still where we could get them. A little bit of magic we will always keep.
Thank you for going down memory lane with me. I always love looking back at all these beautiful moments in life and I can't wait to share about our wedding day real soon!
Jennifer loves long walks down main street, capturing moments and spending time with her loved ones..
